It's for a Christmas anthology with the highly original theme of "love". I asked whether I could write a gay vampire story, but no. Het vampire it is. :D

One of the vampires could be bisexual and dump the other vampire on Christmas Eve for Draco someone else...

So the other broken-hearted bloodsucker is wandering around the streets of Berlin and then realises that being alone is totally okay and happy-making, too, because look at those people who stuff themselves with sweets and alcohol - they're glowing with health! They're yummy food!

So the non-sparkling blood-sucking non-human individual has a hearty meal and a lovely stroll around a poetic gourmet restaurants district and contemplates all the wonderful possibilities left to explore in this wonderful life.

WHAT? That's my Christmas spirit. :P

You wouldn't guess but my plot right now is not quite like the one you laid out, but there are startling similarities. No bisexual vampires, alas, but straight maiden girls. But it's all about where to get blood food on Christmas night. ;)
