HP Recs! (ha! I can't believe I need to specify which fandom I am talking about these days. *headdesk*)

ART
Title: Abandon
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] oldenuf2nb
Characters: Harry/Draco
Rating: NC-17
This art is one of the hottest things I have ever seen. Like ever. For all its simplicity and non-explicitness… the temperature rose in the room like 10,000 degrees when I clicked on it. Bottoming from the top? Yes, please. Draco's expression – incredibly erotic.

ART
Title: Hi, Malfoy.
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] reira_21
Characters: Harry/Draco
Rating: R (probably NWS)
Media: Pencil, Charcoal
Reira is just fabulous, of course. And I adore this scene. The look on Draco's face is delish. Panic, and turned on and… yeah. HOT.

Title: Could You Be A Little Less
Author: [livejournal.com profile] the_birdnest
Characters: Rita Skeeter, Pansy Parkinson, Hannah Abbott, Gabrielle Delacour, Hermione Granger, Ginny Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Tonks, Asteria Greengrass, Padma Patil, and Minerva McGonagall.
Word Count: 1,406
Summary: You can tell a lot about a society by what it values.
Rating: PG-13, non-graphic mention of sexual assault
I'm sure you've seen this recced all over the place. Very well done. Subtle and poignant. Funny and yet, left me with a dull sort of ache of shame.

ART
Title: Triptych: Three Strangers Slowly Floating Away
Pairing(s): Teddy/Victoire, Molly/OMC, Rose/Lily, Albus/Scorpius, unrequited Hugo/Albus, Teddy/Lily
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Implied under 18, angst, incest
Summary: Dominique's voice is unheard, Molly II does not behave as others want, and Hugo remains unseen. They are strangers in their own lives.
The art here is simply gorgeous. Lots of pretty, pretty panels. But the story and the words were what really got me. I'm not a huge follower of any of the main characters here: Dominique, Molly II or Hugo. They just aren't much on my nextgen radar, but the tale of teenagers finding their own way and the heartache and love the journey brings… That transcends the characters themselves and managed to bring a tear to my eye for these kids I really don’t know well. Also, pretty, yes? Well worth the peruse, even if you aren’t a NG fan.

Title: Bids Me Waver
Pairing(s): James/Albus (unrequited), Albus/Scorpius, James/OFC, James/OMC
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Strong themes of incest, lots of swearing, angst like whoa, explicit sex, both het and slash; also a lot of grinning for such an angsty fic
Summary: And maybe, maybe, all of that was the reason that, when James stumbled upon Al and Scorpius kissing in a stairwell on quiet Tuesday afternoon, he watched, frozen, instead of turning around and leaving. What it didn’t explain, though, was why, weeks later, he couldn’t get the image of that kiss out of his head...
Word Count: 14,500
I held off reading this one because I knew it would break my heart. I was right. Just… wow. Incest is kinda hot and kinda squicky and really… pretty damn squicky depending on how it's done. And this one does not pull any punches. God, it is so real and hot and squicky and it ripped my heart out and shoved it in a blender and pressed puree. I still ache at the thought of it all, hours after I've finished. The writing is gorgeous and concise and allows the reader to really lose themselves in James's POV and his emotional rollercoaster. Truly wonderfully done.

FYI - A few spoilers for Bid Me Waver in the comments (in between all the squeeing about that fic).

Big ass Merlin rec post coming tomorrow...
