This was a brilliant fic. I enjoyed it so much! I knew right from the start that Draco was the potions dealer, but I loved how you made it seem understandable, given that it was the only way for him to express his genius. His frustration at not because able to get his legitimate work out there was palpable.

I loved Al in this, how fucked up he was and how beautiful--how much Draco loved taking his innocence, whether he did or not (Al didn't seem very innocent to me! :D).

The sex was gorgeous, of course; I've come to expect nothing less from you (no pressure, of course), and I loved the neat little plug. Al's reactions were beautiful and it was VERY sexy!

Draco was my favourite here; his voice was so real and easy to fall into. It's always tricky to say he's in character when there's really not a lot known about him, not even to make a definitive statement, but I felt like this was something he would and could do, no question. His lack of true morals, his somewhat repressed unrequited feelings for Harry, the ease with which he let himself give in to Al and his own desires... all that was lovingly explored and perfectly Draco-like. :D

Two other things: the way they used each other, one for the father and one for the son, was amazing. I've seen that before and the angst and discomfort of it never ceased to thrill and pain me, and but the way Draco *let* Al pretend he was Scorpius and yet Al insisted that Draco *not* do that was very poignant. It shows, to me, that Draco was willing to compromise himself, to sell himself short and let himself be used, whereas Al insisted that Draco see *him* and not his father. Loved that.

The last thing was the potions book: there was a definite feel of Snape's potions text here, and I love where you went with it. It was sort of like the Harry/Snape that could have been.

Okay, I lied, one more thing: the happy ending. I loved where you went with the ending and I was hoping throughout that somehow, even if they didn't end up together, Al wouldn't overdose and Draco wouldn't be arrested, and I really like where you went with it, and how you resolved Draco's problem of not being able to have his patents looked at. Even if, right now, the relationship is for mere mutual beneficence, despite the fact that they are not (perhaps, given Al's apparent rejection of Scorpius in the final scene) truly interested in each other, I think something could grow from their newfound closeness--if Draco acquiesces to Al's plan, which, of course, he will. :D

Anyway, I absolutely loved this. Your writing is flawless and reads so quickly that it felt like 1000 instead of 10 000, and that made me both sad and thrilled!
