Fic for the Aussies

Bidding is closed! Thank you to everyone who participated!

[livejournal.com profile] femmequixotic has offered seven 5000 word fics to anyone that donates 50AUD to any legitimate non-profit currently collecting funds to be used for Australian bushfire relief.

I seriously hope to become one of those seven this morning! Anyway... I think this is a fabulous idea. And while purchasing one of my fics isn't quite as tempting as femme's, I'd like to make a similar offer.

I'm only offering one, and I have no idea what to 'price' it at. So...

I will write one 5k fic to the highest bidder in the next 24 hours.

On February 12, 8:40 EST, I will ask the highest bidder to submit that amount to any legitimate non-profit charity currently collecting funds to be used for Australian bushfire relief and email me the reciept.

Then we can discuss the request. I estimate a month's writing time.

Bidding to start at $15AUD.

eta: Check out [livejournal.com profile] australia_aid for more incentives!!!

eta2: New donations only, please.

Is it unfair to bid with a donation you've already made?

Well, I was going allow winnett to use a combo of a previous donation and a new one. But I'm second thinking that. I'm doing this to encourage new donations, so I had better stick to allowing only new donations to bid.

I'll change my post to clear.

I'm thrilled to hear you donated though! *hugs*

Man, I totally failed to think that through. I should have held off a day or so. This is why I'll never be a real Slytherin. *shakes head sadly*

I'm from NZ, and the whole thing just strikes a little closer to home than for most Brits, I think. Plus, fandom being what it is, people I internet-know* are directly involved.
