I am a little lame and idealistic. But I hope people will participate in this anyway because I want to read your fics but I want you to make it easy on me.

A Self-Pimping Rec List

bryoneybrynn wrote a post early this week welcoming people to name artists and writers they love who have not ‘made it big’. These are the wonderful people of fandom that toil to create quality fic and art but are not always the first people to get the awards, to get on the top of rec lists, you know who I mean.

These are the people in fandom that need an extra little pat on the back because the HP fandom is huge and many talented people get loved by a devoted few but passed-by by many simply because their name is not recognized.

The comments in that post are an amazing collection of such talent. I have poked around at a few new names and found a few fics lists but frankly it is not easy to figure out where to start. This got me thinking!

I would like to invite any writer or artist (whether they are named in the comments byroney’s post or not) to pimp themselves here.

Ideally I would like to see the following:
- Your username
- 2 fics/works of art (your most popular and your personal favourite)
- Please include proper links, with pairings, ratings and any warnings (summaries if you wish).

I really hope people will not be shy and will add their names so we call discover a few authors/artists that are new to us. I would like to see links from people who have only one or two stories (art) and people who already have quite and archive (even if you are already considered 'well-read' I would love to know which fic is your personal favourite!)

You know me as stellamoon, and I did get mentioned a time or two on bryoneybrynn's post (thank you, btw.) I was a tad bit mortified that she linked to my absolute WORST piece of fan art - the one I totally hate the most. I understand that she liked it, but can't for the life of me figure why. Maybe I should cut Harry out of that picture and repost it? Oh well.

As for my personal favorite, it's usually whatever I'm working on now, or most recently completed. I can't show you that, as it's for a fest. But I can point to this instead......Coming Home (http://stellamoon.livejournal.com/20476.html#cutid1)

Shiver and Sigh. HOLY CRAP! o.O That is frekkin awesome. I mean, I loved the other two but I'd seen them both before. But how I ever missed such a gorgeous piece is beyond me. Thank you so much for that link.

Which ONE?? Oh, you are gorgeous. All of them. Even the Snarry, which is completely not my thing - your Harry in that one, god his proportions are just aesthetic perfection, and the tone of his skin makes me whimper.

Pfft! No complaining. I know you hate Harry in that one but Draco is so fricking beautiful - the curve of his neck and the line of his back! But if it really embarrasses you, I'll switch it out for Peacock Dreams - you know how I adore Draco (and Harry) in that one.

I know! No, I'm not really complaining. I know you like that one because Draco's butt is, - let's face it - quite lickable. (...curve of his neck - yeah right! LOL). I just wish I had never drawn that particular Harry. Plus I did it for a fest (not an exchange, thank goodness), so it's not like I can "undo" it. Well, technically, I could, but it's something I did, and I'm going to leave it.

I knew it wasn't your favourite when I posted the link but I love that Draco so - and I do like the curve of his neck! It's that whole line, bent neck into back into bum... But yes, very very lickable! And you're too hard on yourself about Harry. But I'm probably biased. There are very few of your versions of the boys that I don't adore beyond reason. In fact, I can't really think of any at all... lol

But that's okay, I know what you mean. I kind of feel that way about my fic Summer Boys. I know people like it quite a bit and there are parts of it I love too but when I read it, I just see all the awkward parts, so when people rec it I'm like "NO! I can do better! Read this instead!" lol
