Look at that pairing list! LOL. My first thought was: this must be crack, or maybe just a crazy PWP that took 15k to write because of so many players. But it’s not, on either count. It’s a lovely, sexy fic that tells of Merlin’s complicated journey of relationship failures throughout high school. It was oddly... realistic. sorta. People don’t just ‘land’ their true love. They have a lot of *cough* bumps along the road to love. And poor Merlin’s road isn’t straight. [see what I did there?] It was neither too angsty nor too ridiculous, but a lovely mix of funny and pathos and porn. Excellent read.

Summary: In which making out in the library has unfortunate circumstances, until it doesn’t anymore.

This was tons of fun. It had a simple premise: Arthur and Merlin get caught snogging and need to look after a doll to learn some responsibility. But what stood out to me in this fic was Arthur’s POV. The author made me feel how desperately he wanted Merlin, how they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. The UST was sizzling and somehow romantic.

Artist's Notes/Summary: marguerite_26 listed "tattoos" as one of her kinks, and I thought, hey, magical tattoos and tattoos to identify magic users and ho yay magic reveal! fic--art--thing, and, well. This is the story of how Merlin, upon reaching the age of sixteen, had been branded as a magical being of the most dangerous kind; and how his best friend Arthur, despite finding out about Merlin's magic through this event only for the first time, defies all of Merlin's expectations of hurt and betrayal and takes him by surprise.



The concept of this… nnnngh… I adore it. I love AUs with Merlin being 'marked' and 'shunned' separated from society and representing that with a tattoo is so awesome. The panels are lovely and heartwarming and I'm clutching them it my heart, atm. But the tiny bit of dialogue scattered between the panels… "I don't care what they say. There's no way you're a monster."

YES YES YES!!!! My favourite words out of Arthur's mouth, ever. :)

LOVE IT. Go pour some lovely on this deserving artist.
