Oh wow! Something else in common. No, I'm not a geologist, I'm a nurse, but I grew up digging rocks out of hillsides with my parents. They were bigtime rock hounds back in the day. They are passed on now, but I have boxes and boxes of rocks collected on trips every summer and fond memories of digging around with hammer and chisel. Garnets, petrified wood, thunder eggs, obsidian.....etc. It's all good.
